Meredith and Todd are getting married so we did a very quick shoot this afternoon. This is the first part of their engagement session. We will complete the session when the weather is a little better – after it warms up and the grass gets green again. Although I love spring when the trees are budding and it seems that the world is coming alive again, there is something to be said for the stark look of winter. And today when it was overcast and bleak, the bare trees made a beautiful backdrop.
I have known Meredith her entire life. Her family has always lived just around the corner from us and she went to the same babysitter as my daughter. Every Halloween her parents would bring her to my house trick-or-treating; and every year my husband would scare her. Meredith would get so mad with Rusty she would fuss at him – but she kept coming back. I’ve watched Meredith grow into such a beautiful, confident young woman. She makes me proud. I had not met Todd until today. We didn’t have much time to get to know one another but I really enjoyed him. I had to work to get a smile out of Todd, but when he smiled his whole face brightened up. And when he looked at Meredith, I could see love in his eyes. I’m quite sure I’m really going to like Todd. I can’t wait to know him better.
Here are a few shots from our quick session.

Meredith:
Great pictures and congratulations to you both. Nice looking couple. I cannot wait to meet him. Jessica called and told me you were on the web and I just had to check this guy out. I am very happy for you both. I hope to see you soon.
