Merrick visited Jacksonville for the Christmas holidays, so we took the time to do her senior portraits. I had heard a lot about Merrick but had never met her. I was so excited when I saw her beautiful red hair and green eyes. What an amazing combination! I had wanted to shoot down near the river, but it was so overcast, cold, and windy – we decided to go downtown. Even there the wind was a problem, but not nearly as much as it would have been on the water.
Merrick was very easy to work with. Although I’m sure she got a little tired of Heather and I messing with her, she kept her sense of humor. When I said, “We’re done,” I think I heard her sigh with relief.
It has taken me longer than normal to blog this shoot. I haven’t even downloaded all the pictures yet, but wanted to get something online tonight. I’m sure there will be more really great shots, but for now here’s a sneak preview.
